Advanced Child and Youth Care Certification
The Advanced Child and Youth Care Certification is the only certification program that is developed with unique Canadian context. Formerly the Alberta Certification program, the Advanced Child and Youth Care Certification, is now available for practitioners outside of Alberta. The CYCAA Advanced Child and Youth Care Certification is developed in alignment with the Child and Youth Care Competencies and is recognized by many employers as the highest level of evidence of a Child and Youth Care Practitioner’s knowledge, skill, and competence.
CYCAA is the ONLY child and youth care certification program that offers an online education and training program developed with Advanced Child and Youth Care Certification in mind.
Courses are broken down into modules that follow the certification exam questions so that you have direct access to the correct theory and knowledge needed to be successful in the certification process
The CYC online training has been designed to provide you with the knowledge and information necessary to be successful in Certification testing, making it an easy process to become certified as an Advanced Child and Youth Care Counsellor. The online learning platform is devised to use at your own pace, each course takes approximately 2 to 5 hours to complete, depending on how much you engage with the material (more if you choose to delve into the additional resources offered), it is user friendly and the information is written for easy understanding.
CYC Online Learning Courses
Continuous learning is an integral part of professional development as a Child and Youth Counsellor. Whether new to the field of practice or a seasoned professional, it is essential to keep well-informed of best practices, innovations and trends. The courses in this program are offered at three learning levels, designed with a progression of knowledge in mind. There is no set time to complete the course material, individuals can work at their own pace based on what their timelines and schedules allow. Participants are awarded a certificate of completion at the end of each learning unit.
